This is the second replacement cord I have bought for my neighbor (various vendors) and I think it's even better than the original manufacturer's cord or the 1. change. It's the perfect length and easy to roll up as the velcro is attached to secure the cord. The transformer box doesn't seem to get as hot as with the original cable and the 1st replacement cable. The connector actually snaps into the laptop and doesn't just slide back out like other replacement power cords have. Overall very happy with this purchase. We felt the price was definitely reasonable. Also, I've since told my roommate that laptops, like cellphones and tablets, are inherent in that they need to be fully charged and then drained as much as possible during use before plugging back in and charging. They are not designed to stay connected all the time. Laptops (as well as tablets and mobile phones) are NOT like desktop PCs that need to stay connected to the network! By giving my roommate this knowledge and the seemingly excellent quality of this current replacement cable, I hope she doesn't have to buy another cable.
