This is a special knife at a great price. I say this in relation to the manufacturer: if you are a professional sushi chef, you will probably spend more on a different knife. The hobby chef who at least tries to prepare sushi every now and then can hardly do better. The knife is nicely packaged in a sturdy box with magnetic closure. It's beautiful out of the box and very sharp. I want to emphasize that this is not an everyday knife. If you only have one knife in your kitchen, I would buy a quality chef's knife. As I said above, this is a special knife with a niche purpose. Going beyond this niche can be disappointing. However, at this price point, this knife offers excellent value for money and is worth trying even if you just want to make sushi. All in all very recommendable. Have fun making sushi.
