Bought these two years in a row because it's hard to find quality play shoes for the wet California winter. They hold up well and can easily be passed on to other children. However, they are a full size larger than what your child wears (e.g. if your child wears a size 7, choose a size 8). They can be a little tricky to put on as they are a bit tight. They are also not completely waterproof like overshoes, but very water-repellent. The socks dry out completely after long games on wet grass or in the mud, but not after full-blown jumps in puddles.
