I was a little nervous about buying this cotton but my usual brand was sold out everywhere. I like him. It's light but very warm. Quilting thick enough to provide warmth and thick enough for quilting. Quilting adds a lot of weight and you don't need extra heavy batting or your car will get very grumpy. Not much pile is left over when quilting. I clean my machine every time I change a needle (every 4-6 hours of sewing time) the lint was minimal The cotton will shrink a bit with washing but not so much that it needs to be pre-washed before use. (It will probably fall apart, if you wash before use) I wash everything when I've finished a project and nothing wobbles. He wrinkled, and the cotton wool did not stray anywhere and did not become a lump. This is the perfect result for quilting. I would highly recommend it, the quality is on par with all major brands of lightweight cotton. (usually I use warm and natural)
