About the same quality you would buy at a pet store or Walmart but it's almost twice the size so it actually fits in front of two of my litter boxes. I had 2 so I used one for both of my closet boxes and installed another in the door just to give them a little more grip on their paws so it helped a lot with litter tracking around the house. I usually just vacuum and everything comes out, but if you shake it out it may take a little longer and there's a bit more dust from all the shaking, but it still comes out pretty clean.
