When I first took this thing out of the box my blood boiled because I was sure it was synthetic hair. I used to buy a lot of synthetic and natural hair and right out of the box it looked too perfect to be true. Nowhere on the packaging does it say "human hair", which got me alarmed. The bar was silky, smooth, rich in appearance and thick from top to bottom. I actually looked at it confused because it looked and felt like real hair, but it was "too" perfect and beautiful to be real, even though I had never seen synthetic hair so convincingly real before. I wore it all day today and I'm sure it's real human hair as it doesn't tangle or feel like synthetic hair. To be honest I should have paid a lot more for this level of quality. I am impressed. I've tried this part a number of ways, and it looks/feels best to center the center clip on the bottom of your elastic, bring the sides of the part together at the top, and wrap the Velcro around it. This is exactly the opposite of what you had in mind, but the piece actually looks the most natural this way (don't put the clip in your hair. Just place it at the bottom of your ponytail with an elastic band. Once you wrap it put the velcro in, it sinks into place and anchors itself naturally. If you bury it before you wrap it, it becomes too wide to wrap tightly and it looks oddly thick and unnatural).
