So this playpen was advertised for use with small pets such as hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits and so on. Originally bought for my daughter so she could have a dwarf hamster in the playground outside of his cage. After a few seconds he climbed the walls and almost escaped. This breed of hamsters is FAST. If he escaped, chances of us catching him would be slim. I put a sheet over it and was finally able to grab him and put him back in the cage. Then I gave it to my son for his large Syrian hamster. Although it took longer with this pet, he could also climb, although not as fast. Eventually he just chewed a hole in the corner of a wall. DO NOT recommend it for use with small pets.
