This is a great product that fits great. It unfolds about 20 inches and can stretch to almost 4 feet, but that stretches it a lot. The spool itself is stiff and I mean it takes a burst of power to stretch it and is very resilient. We use it for an outlet (with USB ports) that we have under our kitchen island so we can charge our phones and when the charger is not in use it "twists" and hangs down but doesn't touch the Floor. The coil lets you sit comfortably on the counter, but if you stretch it out to show someone something on your phone, you may have to unplug it, since the coil either pulls the plug out of the socket. or throw your phone back and fall to the ground. I would suggest breaking it up a bit and just stretching it to the label so it gives a little and isn't as strong.
