The cream worked wonders on a bicycle exhaust. The right side of the tube is exposed. Black goes off as some say. I didn't even have to use a polishing kit. You don't have to wait after the application. 20 seconds of rubbing did the trick. I haven't tried the blued and dirtier part and can update this review. I tried a compound buffing kit on an acrylic surface, but it was rougher than expected and gave uneven results. I was expecting a smoother result from acrylic as some reviewers have used it and had success with headlights. But with metal parts everything should be fine. I'm not very experienced with polishing and have only used it once so I could be wrong.
