Review on πŸŽ’ Iron 26L Daypack for Hiking - VAUDE Tecoair Daypacks by Jessie Ritchie

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good all rounder

I bought this as a travel daypack that can also be used as a regular daypack when traveling on vacation. The look and layout are quite traditional and functional. It doesn't look too out of place in the city. But at the same time it has a very effective hip belt, chest strap and stiff insert, all of which make it very comfortable to carry the weight and keep the hips secure. The chest strap is partially elastic and I think it has some body support. which seems to help maintain a snug fit without feeling restrictive. The chest strap buckle is attached to the left shoulder strap in a horizontal position, allowing the strap buckle to be inserted with one hand (in most cases). These two features may be available from other brands, but they are new to me and very valuable. The kangaroo pocket tab allows you to attach a garment like an oversized jacket at the front. He is very versatile in what he can protect. It takes a little longer when you need to adjust it compared to the elastic cord, but has the benefit of being able to get out of sight when you don't need it. Perhaps the feature I appreciate the most is that the bottom of the bag is almost flat so it can be placed on the floor and left standing depending on the load. This makes accessing the top pockets easier and is always better than having your bag face down ready to trip over. I think this bag has a very good design and is well made. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I don't know of similar bags from other companies.
