Well made but no thermal solution

The adapter is well made and works with some M.2 SSDs. The card will not work with a Crucial MX200 M.2 SSD but will work with a Samsung EVO 960. However, there is no thermal solution and the SSD will get very hot. I purchased a set of SilverStone Technology M.2 SSD thermal pads from Revain and placed a 1.5mm thick pad between the SSD and the adapter. This lowered the operating temperature of the SSD. However, I have no idea if it's reasonable to put that much heat on the adapter, PCI-E slot, and MOBO.
