Compare threads

I brought and used this type of thread to hand sew a wig because I heard that nylon thread is better than the cotton thread sold in beauty stores. Here are my pros and cons. Pro #1, I found it much easier to thread the nylon thread through the needle and the thread didn't unravel like it often does with cotton threads, the 2nd nylon thread was smoother when sewing through the cap and I didn't have a snag. Third, nylon doesn't hold water like the cotton option, which means I think your wig will have less floss smell and will dry a little faster. And finally, most importantly for me, I haven't experienced any scalp irritation that I've noticed with cotton yarn. And now #1 Kona, nylon thread tends to twist when sewing, it's so annoying 😑 2. You can't loop the darning thread through your fingers to form a knot. To wrap this I prefer nylon thread. I just think the next thing I'm going to try is using this thread to machine sew a wig. Wish me luck, I've never tried that. I know it's been a long time, but I hope this helps someone.
