Useful, useful, but.

Before I start, let me first say that I have a Late 2013 13-inch MBP with a Retina display. This is a very useful and useful product that all Macbook owners can take advantage of. It effectively keeps dust, dirt, food, liquid and other items away from the keyboard. At $12.98 I think this is a great buy. If you're worried about the screen protector leaving marks on the screen, I can tell you from my use that it doesn't leave fingerprints on the screen itself. There's a very small gap (literally barely noticeable) between each key and the overlay, making it seem like there's nothing on the keyboard. As for the texture, it seems like it has some kind of film or rubber on it. you type At first I felt like I was typing a little slower, like I was typing a little more effort than I'm used to. However, I think it's just the result of my remembering that something was on the keyboard. Now I'm typing at normal speed. The less you become aware that something is on your keyboard, the more your previous typing speed returns. As great as this product is, I wanted potential buyers and current users to see some of my use. After about three weeks of use, part of the running surface immediately shows signs of wear, especially the control key and the left side of the space bar. These are obviously keys that Macbook users press frequently. FYI, the places that show signs of wear - they look scratched - are exactly where I press the button. I type with my fingers; My nails rarely touch the keys, which worries me a bit. Does it affect the quality of the product? Aside from looking scratched and faded, no, this does not affect the quality/usage of the product. Overall I am happy with this keyboard protector. While I wish the last issue hadn't happened, this does what it's supposed to. The keyboard lighting is clearly visible through the protective film. In addition, when you receive the product, do not touch the inside of the keyboard protective film (the part that touches the keyboard itself), otherwise the oil will flow from your fingers on it. I've attached a photo of the box, the lid on the laptop in the dark with the backlight on and the wear on the keys.
