You get what you pay for.

overall normal switch; The biggest issues I've noticed are with the mouse and keyboard. My first attempt to use Microsoft's standard 2.4 GHz mouse and keyboard combo didn't work when I used the keyboard or mouse port. The keyboard is registered but the mouse is not. and CTRL or scroll sequences were not recognized. I then switched to a wireless HP Link-5 keyboard in the keyboard port and a wired mouse in the mouse port: the keyboard worked with hotkeys, but the mouse was not recognized. After trying several mice, I had to use a very old USB mouse before the switch recognized it in the mouse port; In the end, I relented and agreed to plug the keyboard receiver into the keyboard port for hotkeys and a USB mouse into one of the standard ports. (A mouse bound to the same receiver will not be recognized.) Sometimes the keyboard lags for a few seconds and you have to use a hard-to-remember key sequence to reset it, or it has to be unplugged and reset. However, it seems to automatically switch to the active computer most of the time, and I've had no problems using various devices (printers, webcams, exHDD, flash drives) on a different USB port. It's seamlessly cross-platform compatible: I use it to switch between a MacPro running Mojave and a Windows 10 computer; no problems with drivers or unrecognized keys. In short, you get what you pay for, especially with these Brand X devices.
