Riding through the rocky, evil desert surrounding Las Vegas. I have been using UHD tubes for many years. Always thought about trying this. But I am attracted to cacti and thought I would use them often. Well I spent about 20 hours on this and just had to plug the hole that was already in my tire when I mounted it. Yes, I installed a used tire. It's gold 216 bold. Not cheap and only 5-6 hours. There was a small mark from the rim lock that could be a problem. But everything was fine. A "new" tire is therefore not necessary in my opinion. The tire loses a few pounds per square inch over a few weeks. The bladder loses 10-15 pounds. But I always check them before a trip. So I'm nothing new. I wish I had taken the plunge many years ago. It's very easy. The hardest part was drilling the hole. I ordered a small set of plugs and a nuetec hand pump just in case. If you're undecided about this product, as I have been for years, just buy it. I don't regret it at all. Note on quick installation: In the front, you probably don't need to split the two holes over 4 spokes. If you already have an extra hole like my Yamaha Excel rim. The front end is so easy to install that they don't have to be that close. The rear ones surely follow the directions and keep them close by. But not in front.
