Review on Black Vinyl Stair Edging, 36-Inch - M-D Building Products 29702 by Brad Phifer

I've been looking for a stair nosing at large hardware stores (e.g. hardware store and sanctuaries) for a number of years. None of the noses they sell came close to making the transition between carpet stairs and laminate wood floors. Previously I found a piece of trim that was the same color as the floor and glued and nailed it. It was a headache to install and it kept loosening and eventually broke in half. However, this vinyl piece worked great. It looks way better than I expected and is easy to install. My ladder is 35 inches so we just cut off an inch and glued it on. It took like 2 minutes. We strained it a bit overnight, but it might not even have been necessary. FYI, this piece was slightly bent but it didn't matter much. It's very flexible and you can just put something on it to straighten it out if needed.
