They work much better than the 'universal' brands that 'claim' to fit those vintage Hoover vacuums. The quality of these original official Hoover bags is much higher, right down to the weight of the cardboard collar which has to "snap and hold well" in order for the bags to even be used. I'm just glad there are still such after so many years! I've had my Hoover Spirit since 1986! It has been repaired once or twice and vacuum cleaners of recent years may have more power. However, for us it's a great spare and we really appreciate that we can get bags for it.
