I bought these for my 2012 Subaru Outback as I didn't want to buy snow tires and rims. The TPS monitoring system must be recalibrated each time snow tires and wheels are fitted and again when all-season tires are fitted or replaced. They will NOT fit the 2010 and newer Outback as supplied. The years with alloy wheels have 19mm nuts. The Thule 19mm adapter will not fit in the notch around the wheel nut because the notch is too small in diameter. However, repairs are easy and inexpensive. Purchase two 17mm nuts with the same internal threads as the factory cleats and replace one 19mm nut on each front wheel. Use a Thule 17mm adapter and the chains will fit just fine. Be sure to purchase 17mm nuts with the correct internal thread and long enough for the Thule adapter to engage the nut properly. I replace a nut on each front wheel early in the snow season and leave them until spring. Just bring a 17mm socket or socket as the Subaru factory 19mm socket will not work if you have a flat tire and need to remove one of the front wheels. DENIAL OF RESPONSIBILITY.
