I'm on the second roll of these bags and I like this bag solution much more than the official Litter Genie refills. (Don't forget that a clip/"adapter" must also be ordered to use these sachets in Litter Genie.) First of all, they are *sachets*, not plastic tubes, so all you have to do is tie the lid shut once the sachet finished is filled. Second, you don't need to measure or cut: you just tear off the next pack and install it. They are just as effective at odor control as official replacement cartridges from a material perspective, and they are much less wasteful in terms of packaging or space. And they are cheaper. Wins in everything. For the record, I use Multi-cat Arm & Hammer Clump & Seal, a heavy, aggressively clumping litter that's probably going to destroy the world, but it's the only litter that keeps my apartment from smelling like cats. Urine. I've had no problem tearing or tearing these pouches: I don't abuse them and they don't cause me any problems.
