I wanted this because my house cats love to explore our patio and I wanted to find a way to take them for a walk. I knew my little cat who probably weighs less than 5 pounds would fit in perfectly and be in it more. My orange cat weighs about 15 pounds and I knew he was going to be cramped. He's more nervous and I can feel him 'twisting' in the backpack. Honestly he has more space than I expected and once he gets used to it I think he will lie down and relax more. The bag feels solid even with my big cat in it so I'm thrilled with this purchase.
