Review on πŸ”΅ Blue Swivel Kitchen and Dining Room Chair: Modway Lippa Mid-Century Modern Upholstered Fabric by Kevin Cole

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice chair made of quality materials but the design is a bit lame

We bought three chairs. The first was perfect. On the second, the holes for attaching the seat to the base did not match. On the third the holes didn't line up but we fiddled around trying to align and rotated the panel, aligning the different holes in the panel/chair with the different holes in the base and eventually found the combination that worked best. The third also had a slightly deformed pillow, leaving a larger gap between the pillow and the back of the chair on the left than on the right. Finally, there was some black substance at the base of the third chair. It could have been the glue used to attach the foam pads to the bottom of the chair. However, where the black was smudged on the top of the base (glossy white side), it peeled off easily. It's also spilled/smeared all over the inside of the base, making it increasingly difficult for us to get it off the rough, textured aluminum. If it came in contact with the carpet, it would definitely stain it. On a flat tile or wood floor, only the edge of the base is touching, so you should be fine. I really like the foam pads at the bottom of the base. This will prevent the aluminum from scratching the floor. I hope these foam pillows will stand the test of time and not crack. We've only had the chairs for two days, so I can't comment on longevity. I wonder how scratch resistant the glossy finish of the base is. If it's bad, we'll probably find out soon enough. Also, this is a great chair. The building materials appear to be of good quality. The seat cushions consist of a molded foam insert, so they are very firm and not soft at all. I hope they soften up a bit when we break them.
