They smell very strong when dry (I had to put them in a tin), they don't smell that much in the shower. I found them to be light enough for two or three showers. I tried placing them in different places in the shower but they still dissipated fairly slowly with a not very strong smell. Maybe that's because I have a shower with a 12 volt pump and the water pressure isn't very high. However, I found them to be a nice addition to my shower and didn't have to flush the leftovers down the drain either - I just left them there and they dried and then got back to work until the next shower. Maybe they could make smaller units for those with low water pressure or who don't take long showers. I tried cutting one but they are pretty loose and end up with a lot of dust.
