A size 7/8 would probably fit a size 4. The material is too thick.
I bought it for my granddaughter who is 5 years old. We always do a little extra to make sure she has some wiggle room. We couldn't get through her head or her hands. It was terrible! The dress is beautiful, just poorly sewn.

- Nice color and material. The size was small - grew almost immediately
Cons
- It is not machine washable, requires hand washing which can be inconvenient.
