Lycra Swim Cap: Lycra is a fabric that lets water through. The head is cooler in it than in a silicone cap, which is why I buy it. However, I cannot recommend this brand. It has a lot of nice colors which is good but the cap seems too small to me. I have a narrow face and small head so I was surprised it didn't fit me better. The cap's description says it doesn't cover the ears, which is true. It also doesn't cover the hair near the temples. If you wear goggles with an elastic strap (most often any type of goggle), the strap will catch in the hair next to your face and will likely cause your hair to come out when you adjust or remove your goggles. I recommend Tyr's Lycra swim cap. It's not much more expensive and comes in fewer colors, but it does a better job of protecting your hair from your goggle strap.
