Review on ๐Ÿถ Canny Collar: The Ultimate Dog Training and Walking Solution - Achieve Leash Control and Stop Dogs from Pulling! by Hailey Rodriguez

Nice collar but not exactly what I need.

Let me start by saying that this appears to be a very high quality product and company and will be just one thing for many! I have a 135 pound Alaskan Malamute who is a very strong draft horse by nature. Even if he's not "evil," it's just instinct. We worked and worked on an off leash walk, and most of the time we were pretty good at it. I tried a Halti stand (a similar idea with the Canny) and got lucky but it didn't fit well so I decided to order a new one. After seeing all the good reviews I chose Canny. The problem is that he's built in such a way that he can still bend down and pull, albeit using his face instead of his chest or neck. I can stop it but I feel it's more aggressive than I expected. With other headgear, the leash is attached under the dog's head like a halter on a horse. So when the animal pulls, instead of letting the animal lean in and pull, it will automatically rotate to stop forward motion. I think if you start Canny with a young dog with proper training it will be a really good walking set. Just remember that it pulls from behind and pulls on the muzzle and neck like a martigale.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
