I bought two pairs of these shoes about a year ago and they still wear well. Great grip and plenty of room for toes. Yes, they look pretty gross, but when I'm wearing a skirt or dress and I want my legs to look more sheer, I just throw regular stockings over them and I get the look I want. I've tried other brands and these are the ones I turn to because they keep my feet from swelling at night and keep me energized throughout the day. I always hand wash them with a small amount of Dr. Bronner's Unscented Liquid Castile Soap, then towel dry and let naturally air dry. Most importantly, they are decently priced compared to other brands.
