It's a heavy tire but the extra weight is worth the extra puncture protection
A reflective stripe on the sidewall gives extra visibility when driving at night. The tire weighs almost 3.5 pounds, but it's a fat tire. I also installed two rubber pads for added puncture protection. This is as close as you can get to an airless tire. I can't find a 29" airless mountain bike tire. I've ridden 1200 miles without a flat. My bike is my mode of transport, so managing the risk of breakdowns when commuting and delivering refrigerated and frozen ones is extremely important to me Decreasing groceries home.
