Just received a knife sharpener. There were 5 very dull knives. I had an old sharpener that I used on my fillet knife. He quit sharpening knives so I bought this one hoping it would get the job done. I wish the directions were bigger and the font bigger, it's very hard to read. I watched the video on the product page and found it to be an easy process. I assembled five knives and sharpened all five in 10 minutes. Some of them were quite old and ALL passed the paper disc test. I also sharpened our kitchen scissors. Very impressive. I don't know what the gloves are for as they don't appear to be "cut resistant".
