I like the weight of this sharpener. I LOVE suckers. It will sharpen perfectly, or you can set one of 3 sharpness settings. The chip box holds many chips. I've never broken a pencil sharpener. So I can't talk about it. Unfortunately, pencil sharpeners don't last forever. I want to sharpen or replace the barrel. But if there is a need, I just buy another one.
