Installed this bookshelf for my daughter's room yesterday. Although the bookshelf looks decent when completed, it is very thin. However, he seems to be holding up her books and games well. The dotted material is similar to paper so care should be taken when assembling - we created small tears on some surfaces during assembly. The instructions are pretty unclear, but I was able to grasp the concept after manipulating the parts. Overall don't expect this bookshelf to be passed down to other generations but it does the job well for a 6 year old's room.
