Review on Cordless Rechargeable Tire Inflator Air Compressor - Portable Car Tire Pump for Bikes & Inflatables, 12V Auto Stop with Pressure Gauge (Red, 150PSI Max) by Tim Wadman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Can't stand a single tire

I bought this because I was tired of waiting in line at the gas station to fill nearly flat tires (25psi/44). This pump is compact and appears to be well built. It has a clear and easy to read backlit display on the front and connects to my tires easily and securely. However, if you want to plug it into an outlet, the included DC adapter has a very short cord (maybe 3ft). It's fine as most people keep a spare extension cord in their garage. More importantly, the pump couldn't even inflate a tire from 25psi to 40psi without stopping. I'm assuming it's a safety measure to prevent overheating (which is definitely better than just melting), but that's disappointing. I waited a few minutes as the manual suggested, but it didn't cool down much and turned off again after a few seconds.

Pros
  • WIDE APPLICATION: Additional attachments make it compatible not only with cars, bicycles, motorcycles, sedans, mid-size SUVs, but also with sports balls, balloons and other houses that use inflatable products. The 12V air compressor comes with a 3m cable, which is enough to inflate the front and rear wheel when connected. The LED light on top helps you work in the dark. It weighs 2.6 pounds, making it portable and compact to use. The rear space on the tire changer is for accessories.
Cons
  • No power
