The first thing that strikes you when you open the box is the excellent quality of Dr. Trainer. Not quite Apple level, but they're next level nonetheless. ;) In the box you get everything you need - a collar, a remote control, instructions and a charging cable. So far, so good. Do yourself a favor and charge everything first as they don't always come with a charge. The good news is that charging the collar and remote only takes a few minutes and they both use the micro USB cable that everyone already has. The adjustment of the collar is typical and quite simple. Testing the vibration and shock settings brought no big surprises, except that the lower shock settings are almost completely invisible to me. I think the average dog might not even notice anything under 30-35. Mine didn't show a reaction until 50, and even then not very much. But I try to stay away from the vibration, except for dangerous behavior like running into the street etc. In addition to vibration and shaking, you can also play sounds with variable volume through the collar. Most collars in this price range don't let you change the volume like this. In addition, you can even RECORD sounds (up to 7?) and set which one you want to activate with the appropriate app. Very very cool! Which brings me to one negative point I encountered while using this collar. When using the sound function, there is a significant delay - about a second I guess - between pressing the button and the sound playing. It might not sound like much, but when you're signaling specific behaviors to learn, timing is everything. This can cause confusion in the dog. Therefore, I cannot fully recommend this collar for this specific purpose. As well as using it as a training collar, you can also put it (via the app) into automatic anti-bark mode. In this mode you can set the parameters of how loud the bark must be to activate the collar, as well as what exactly should happen on the 1st, 2nd bark, etc. For example, you can have it beep on the first bark, vibrate and beep on the second, and then vibrate and shock at 50 on a sustained bark. This has worked for me and my very well titled Labrador/Borderline pup and I can see an improvement in his behavior after only a few weeks of sporadic use. Overall I think this is a great product with great features. by price. But for a fairly significant downside, it could be perfect. Let's hope they can improve this with a firmware update at some point.4/5*
