They make a little noise, but these are not SSD drives to work completely unnoticed, therefore, within acceptable noise levels during operation, they do not get very hot. On the recommendation, I tried to install a Seagate Barracuda (3TB) drive, which, according to all reviews, due to its 3-pancake capacity, should have been quieter and faster, in fact turned out to be "noisier" than all the others, for this reason I abandoned it and returned to the already tested WD30EZRX. Part of the disks was forced to be taken during the "crisis" (when their factories sank), I took used ones and without guarantees, they still work perfectly and fully met the expectations in terms of performance, taking into account the possible risk. Some have been working for more than a year, some around SMART without complications and in good health. Great choice !
