For starters, this is a decent mouse pad. The area is actually quite large compared to other pads of this type, but I always had vertical problems. I often press the bottom, which can be a little annoying, and overall there's not a lot of vertical space here. However, I'm happy with that. My only real complaint is the overall cheapness of the build. Only after we have washed it several times, lifted it up and put it back again, do the sides of the rug begin to peel off a little, the fabric is not sewn, but simply glued to some kind of fabric. So it really tends to come loose. But I found it easy to put back on. Also, the bottom likes to stick, especially if you clean it and the surface underneath before putting it down if you only want to keep the mouse pad in one place and never move it. It's great for that.
