Review on Maui Jim Sunglasses H735 10P PolarizedPlus2 by Pavel Craig

Let me first say that this review is NOT the reflection of Sunglass Hut: This is my fourth pair of sunglasses with them (3 pairs via Macy's) and I have responded to it quickly to any questions I had, especially about these glasses. I will rate Sunglass Hut 5 stars. So in April 2018 I bought my first pair of Maui Jim's, Orchid, Peacock. I loved these glasses but lost them in June 2019, was heartbroken, found them at Revain, saw they came in this beautiful pink and decided to put them on my wish list if they ever go on sale should. Have bought other cheaper brands but keep this pair in mind. (And then my original pair reappeared about a month ago!). Just before Black Friday while looking for something different I saw that these sunglasses were selling for $174.99 instead of the usual $249.99 (Maui Jim $75 off? Wow!) so I just had to have them . However, when I received it, something stood out: the color and especially the case. The problem with the color is that if you look at the image below, you'll see that the frame doesn't really have glittery purple/pink tones unless you backlight them: they're more of a dark red, and that is seeing through with SOME light (and your face isn't light, so it's pretty dark shots). BUT it was less of a disappointment than an accident. That ugly black triangular semi-rigid case isn't really going to protect your expensive sunglasses. In fact if you look at my fourth photo you can see that you can see ALL of this sleeve from the felted cardboard sides when the sleeve is closed. And because you can't get a nice soft case with an apparently ordinary but rather small cleaning cloth (photo), the glasses in the case are not protected from fluff and dust. Unfortunately, I was convinced by Maui Jim that this was her latest case, so I had to decide whether to keep it. for a new case on ebay, won it and my new wicker soft case will be here tomorrow, all for $12.50. So I decided to keep these sunglasses because although I have other "pink glasses" that I love, they are not polarized and that's important. In my opinion, they are undoubtedly the best. BUT they spoiled the whole ownership experience by drastically reducing the quality of the case/soft case. I hope enough people complain and go back to the original cases. PS: I wanted to provide lens width/lens distance/arm length stats for Maui Jims Orchid because it took me some searching to get these: 56/19/140. I hope this helps potential buyers.
