I bought this product on a whim to entertain my niece so I wasn't expecting much. However, this disco light worked very well! The light is very sensitive to the remote control and as long as the socket is not switched off (rather than using the remote to turn the light off) it remembers the last used settings. We really appreciated being able to change both motor speed and brightness, as the default speed (4th out of six settings) was too fast for our comfort (3rd worked best for us). The only thing I would complain about, and it's really a minor thing, is that the product is advertised as being music responsive. the product reacts to sudden changes in the average volume in the room by flashing the light quickly. It doesn't seem to be able to sync with the music; In fact, playing music has no effect unless there's a spot in the music where you can hear an immediate sharp increase in volume. You can also achieve the same effect by clapping your hands loudly (but prolonged clapping will not result in a subsequent effect). ). Since I don't particularly care about this effect, this is a small note on my part, but it may be useful for anyone hoping for music synchronization.
