My husband keeps falling asleep with the remote control and then dropping it on the hard floor. After a few drops, the remote controls will experience performance issues and will need to be replaced. Not to mention that the lid will come off and the batteries will fly out if they fall on the floor! I bought new remotes and these cases to protect them. They work great, they weren't too bad to put on and they deaden the sound of the remote banging the floor in the middle of the night. Thanks to these covers, none of the remotes broke or fell apart. I really like the light up feature that is on the two covers.
