Review on Outdoor/RV HDTV Antenna - ANTOP Omni-Directional Wing TV Antenna With Smartpass Amplifier &Amp by Daniel Steele

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Weak TV signal

I've been using an Antop outdoor TV antenna for about three months. I live in Denver, 30 miles from Lookout Mountain, which is where all the city and frontline broadcast antennas are. We can easily receive more than 50 channels from the air. I have a direct view of the mountain. The Antop outdoor TV antenna was very easy to install on the Direct TV mounting stand that held the satellite dish until November when we cut the cable. The antenna is on the roof of our house, 15 feet off the ground, pointing directly at Lookout Mountain. On some days the signal with the Antop antenna on channels 2 to 20 is excellent. Many days the signal is weak, especially on the channels above 20. I often have to scan digital channels from the air. I cannot use the smartpass amplifier that comes with the antenna because when the amplifier is on the signal becomes so pixelated that it cannot be viewed. I paid about $50 for an antenna and was hoping for better results than I'm getting. I am disappointed and do not recommend it.
