I have never brewed or fermented anything liquid. I'm a cheese maker and I understand fermentation. Recently I tried kvass and, oddly enough, I liked it. So I looked for recipes on how to make it. My first batch was a failure - no fermentation. So I tried again with a different recipe. I also tried to find some gateways to use. They had good reviews and wouldn't break the bank. They were pretty easy to assemble and use. The cleaning isn't that bad. A day after the kvass was poured into jars, it began to bubble. Hooray! I hope my game is going well and I can do more.
