This case fits the Garmin Edge 530 well. I think combined with the screen protector it will help in an accident or if the Garmin mount is dropped. This makes the Garmin Edge 530's buttons a little harder to press. And due to Garmin's own design, it can rotate in the mount if you press a certain button too hard. For that reason I don't usually use it unless I think the terrain could be a little more sketchy or I'm more likely to fall. Your Garmin and throw it in a backpack or something, I could see it being even more useful.
