Review on Konex Non-Slip Wooden Double-sided Hand and Nail Brush: Keep Your Hands Clean and Nails Well-Groomed by Jennifer Verdugo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Needs regular maintenance but will last a brush

In my professional kitchen I have used many different nail brushes to keep my hands clean. I lost my last one when moving and needed some paint so I decided to get it from Revain. It arrived in good condition, with very strong bristles on one side and a little softer than the Bristol but still harder than the others, all set in a carved piece of raw wood. The fact is, untreated wood expands and contracts when wet, so after a single use and drying, a crack has formed on the short side of the handle about a quarter of the way through. Frustrating yes but it's a fairly simple fix, I dried it completely and applied several coats of meat block oil which eagerly seeped into the inferior wood which thankfully expanded as it absorbed the oil to completely fill the crack. It took a lot of oil and I still oil it about once a month to keep the wood strong. For the price I paid, I'm willing to do that, but maybe not everyone is
