Review on 🎧 HT OMEGA Fenix Sound Card for PCI-Express Slots by Brian Fisher

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The sound is better than competing $200 cards.

Just updated to this card from ASUS ROG Strix Raid Pro DLX. I experienced a hardware failure after an ASUS card hardware failure and contacted HT Omega to find out how their products work. Their support answered my questions and as a result I bought this card. Asus tech support kept me stuck for over 3 weeks with no apparent solution. Pros: * Great price. * Amazing sound. My main games that I play now are Mass Effect Andromeda, Elite Dangerous, Doom (2016) and Fallout 4. I've been seriously looking for all the new sounds that I've actually heard now. * True 7.1 sound * Games understand this at its core. Sounds propagate as they should. * Supports DirectAudioCons: * Make sure you can test every single port when connecting speakers. When trying to connect everything in the dim light behind my computer case, I got confused and had to repeat it after the confusing noise. (I changed the center/subwoofer to front, back and side surround channels). No sound in game/video test Tested on system: i7-6700k water-cooled 32 GB / 512 GB m2ssd ASRock z710m Extreme4Evga 1080 SC2 card Evga 1000 watt power supply Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset with 7.1 channel Pyle PT798SBA home cinema system per pass - through
