Not clear from description, but the bottom of this mount has a sticky silicone disk in the middle. The disc is covered with a protective plastic film. If you leave the protective film in place, the mount will slide on the dashboard because the film is slippery. When you remove the protective film you will find a sticky surface designed to stick the mount to the dashboard. Not what I wanted. So I peeled off the silicone disc. It took a little effort, but came out clean. When the screen is removed, the rubberized underside of the mount fits snugly against the dashboard and the mount is non-slip. And now I have the slide bearing that I actually wanted to buy.
