It really seems to be working. I had it delivered on April 22, 2021 and I did a partial water change of about 10-12 gallons from about 25 gallons and used less than the ReptoClean 10ml cap listed. During the first few days I carefully observed the reactions of my two turtles. I kept adding water to keep the water level high and 30 days less than stated I added a 10ml cap. During the week of June 6, about seven weeks later, the Powerhead showed signs that the filter needed a quick flush. The odor was minimal even after that time. It's pretty extreme and my two turtles are fine.
