If you are looking for a good garage heater then this is not it.

I've just installed a heater in my garage and figured it would be best to report problems while I still have them in my head. Sound. The blade struck one of the posts holding the heating element in place (top right when facing the heater). And it wasn't just the touching, everything was so misaligned that the fan wasn't spinning at all when touching the rack at power-up. To avoid it, it had to be spread. I couldn't adjust the position of the grate, so I removed it and turned the heater back on. The noise has decreased significantly, but has not disappeared. It turned out that the blade also hit the fan housing. Luckily, the case was thin enough to bend easily, and I was fortunate to find where it met fairly quickly. I rebooted and no sound. Remove a few pieces. . . bend some others. . . and this thing purrs like a kitten. None of the parts I removed for access had openings that lined up well with the main body, including the front guard assembly and louvers. The two screw holes in the cover at the junction were also misaligned. And the "button" attached to the main body will not align properly. So far (it's a day) it's heating well. But if you are looking for a good garage heater, then this is not it.
