These screws were purchased to facilitate attachment of thick, oversized wood. The screw itself is fantastically built, solid construction with some nifty features that definitely make it easier to use. The hex/star head is a great feature that allows you to easily dig in the rod without removing the snaffle or head. Each package comes with a hex bit, just the size you need, fitting almost any drill or screwdriver on the market. The container the screws are now shipped in isn't as good as their old containers (softer and less durable plastic) but still does the job of holding all the parts in the right place.
