I like this sharpener, but I don't think it will last long. I carry knives through, constantly nicking it here and there, and since it's plastic, sooner or later it's going to tear or fall apart. I'm not sure how long the sharpening bits will be good for this one, but at least in the short term it's actually capable of grinding down burrs and chipped bits. from a knife. Let's be serious. If you have a few broken knives, an electric meat grinder can do in a minute what would take hours to do. The price corresponds to the product. If you just need a temporary light-duty solution, this product will do the trick. I will use it to keep knives sharp that have become dull after washing the dishes.
