I bought 2 of these and 2 new invertebrate tanks and I love them. I haven't had an aquarium for years and filter maintenance was my biggest concern until I found out about sponge filters. They are ideal for breeding aquariums and nanospecies. nice and light yet feels durable, not to mention they're easy to clean when you change the water, just pop them in old water and replace. It literally takes 15 seconds and the sponges showed no signs of rotting or breaking after 6 weeks of use. Shrimp and crabs poke around in it.
