The Good and the Bad, Not Ugly

If you have a spare tire that needs 60 psi you need a gauge that can read over 60 psi so I bought this product at 100 pounds per square inch. I bought two devices to test their accuracy against each other. I've found one to consistently read 3/4psi higher than the other. I would be more impressed if the company applied stricter quality control during production. The instructions that come with the box use English words but no English grammar. The device is made in China. The glow in the dark feature is useless. First, the glow isn't bright enough to read unless you expose the dial to sunlight first to charge the phosphors, meaning it can't be used at night. so dark you can't read the dial, then it's too dark to see the tire valve you're trying to attach it to. I see no reason why anyone should check tire pressure in the dark. from the fact that the phosphors can be charged with a flashlight. she is faithful However, if you have a working flashlight, you don't need a glowing dial. The head of this sensor rotates, which is entirely optional. The pivot seal just creates one more point for air to escape through. The head of this gauge is at a 45 degree angle to the stem. This is very distressing. It would be nice if the head was directly in line with the barrel. It would also eliminate the pivot joint. On the plus side, the ridged black rubber lid makes the product durable. It's easy to grip and feels solid in hand. The gauge head fits snugly onto the tire's valve stem and the gauge will maintain a good reading until released. Each mark on the dial corresponds to 1 psi. Customs is good.
