So far, so good. Time will tell if it will or not.

So far so good. Time will tell if it sticks to my dash, maybe the heat will affect those overtime. I think it's important that it is mounted or placed on a somewhat horizontal surface and maybe smoother than rough. I think surface prep is also very important, I masked the area I wanted to surface prep for and then cleaned it very well with isopropyl alcohol (isopropyl alcohol can stain darker plastic so if you don't want stain damage in your car, You can test it in an inconspicuous place, I feel that the cleaning cloth, that is included in the assembly kit is largely unusable). The phone I use is quite heavy, it's an iPhone 8 plus with an OtterBox protective case. I tried putting a metal disc on the inside of the rubber but it was too thick to magnetize properly. I ended up cutting a hole in the rubber slightly larger than the metal washer that attaches to the back of the plastic case and it works great. Being initially paranoid about whether this would work, I ended up using a piece of parachute strapped to the phone while it was on the mount just in case it let go of the phone and not onto the crashing ground. I've ridden it on bumpy dirt roads and had no problems.
